This is the situation of my classroom project. There are many students there but not all of them are willing to do the task. They were happy to be in the class, but some of them don't want to write the writing assignment.
I will write the full report in my final report.
Thanks for visiting!

Cheer up, Imas!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will soon realize that it's worth it and if they don't do it, they will be missing a great opportunity to change and improve. Besides one has to think that if there are some profiting from our projects, they are worth the hard work and we will feel personally rewarded in the end.
Dear Luisa,
DeleteI do agree that they don't know what benefit that they will get from joining my reserch project until they get some experiences from the students who joined my project.
Day by day I have more and more students to realized it. I don't set a high target, 10 students would be enough.
Thanks for your visit
Imas
Hello, Imas!
ReplyDeleteDon't give up! As you've mentioned in your posts your students' objective is to get prepared for the international exam and the technology-related change is just for their benefit. I am sure, they'll appreciate your efforts.
Helen.
Dear Helen,
DeleteYou are right about the International exam as the final target of my students learning process. At this moment, I am making a survey that I will pass to my students about the issue.
I also intend to design a classroom activity based on some modules on the websites which have the international examination practices. By doing so, the students will have got more exposure on the expected subject.
I hope that the students can improve their English competence and ready to face the examinations.
Thanks
Imas
Hello Imas,
ReplyDeleteThey are having fun and that's a start. I am sure that with time, when they see the results, their attitude will change.
We are all going through the same thing right now it seems. It is important to share.
Natasa
Hi Natasa,
DeleteIt's true, they are having fun in this new setting classroom. As you know, they never had a class with technological tools before. All stuffs they had in their real previous class was traditional materials and basic media.
Perhaps after more than one meeting they will start to engage and enhance themselves based on our learning objectives.I am glad that you would share your opinions with me.
Good bless you
Imas
Hello Imas,
ReplyDeleteDon't be disheartened dear. This is quite normal as you can never get students who will be equally engrossed with their tasks. Just imagine my situation! I teach 150 students in one class and getting all of them motivated at the same time is a Herculean task. Still we try and do manage to get most of them change their attitude. But now with the knowledge of all these technological support, I guess I will be able to motivate all of them. Imagine we don't even have all those computers and Internet in our classrooms, though we have them in the Computer centre. But I am sure we will be able to use technology in a minimal way to imbibe in them a love for the language.. I am really keeping my fingers crossed!
Nizara
Hello Nizara,
DeleteWhat a big number of students you have there!I presume that I will never be able to cope a large class like that myself. Now,knowing your situation, I feel so lucky that I don't have to manage such a situation.
Honestly, this room is also a part of our 'self access room' facilities, but for the sake of my project I reserve it for the research. The positive result of it will hopefully lead the Center to a new method by integrating the traditional classroom materials with a technological based learning.
It seem that my students really having fun there.
Thank you Nizara,
Imas
Hi Imas
ReplyDeleteI got a glimpse into your classroom through the picture posted in your blog. I agree with you that it is rather tough to enroll students in writing tasks. But your students seem happy. And I’m sure with patience and perseverance you’ll soon be able to engage them in all kinds of writing activities.
All the very best in your endeavor.
